From 1 to 5 of September, 2014 in Prague (Czech Republic) at Czech University of Life Sciences (Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague) theXXVI-th International Conference "Genetic days 2014" had took part. Mykolayiv National Agrarian University had been represented by postgrauater Kramarenko A. (supervisor - Doctor ofAgricultural Sciences, Professor Gil M.).
Main directions of scientific activities of the Conference was concentrated at the development of methodologies of assessing the breeding value of animals (EBV), data analysis of next-generation sequencing (NGS), genetics, production traits, the study of the genetic diversity of animals, plants and microorganisms.
During the Conference it was also organized the intensive training course "The linear models in genetic evaluation of animals" at the Czech University of Life Sciences, in which Prof. Josef Přibyl, Dr. Jiří Bauer, Dr. Petr Pešek and others took part.
Among the reports that were heard during the Conference, the most important work in the field of Genetics and Breeding shout be outlined. Among them there were "NGS-reading of the genome to search for signs of functional information, which are inherited in a complex" (Prof.. Joanna Szyda, Poland), "The combination of international (Interbull, MACE) and standard estimates for the prediction of genomic breeding values " (Prof. Josef Přibyl, Czech Republic)," "The method of stepwise SNP-assessment model for the control days in dairy cows" (Dr. Zengting Liu Germany) and others.
A. Kramarenko had attended the workshop of Czech breeders which was dedicated to applied aspects of genomic selection in dairy cattle breeding. In the format of the workshop, it was recommended to increase the number of sires with genomic breeding value estimation and deliver them to the artificial insemination station, due to its own reproduction (for livestock farms of the Czech Republic). Total population of genetic types in this country is more than 5000 bulls. At the same time, the condition of the recording carpel in the state stud book is a must-pass procedure they SNP-genotyping using chip Illumina BovineSNP50 BeadChip.
At the results of the Conference the postgraduater Kramarenko A. had received the Certificate of conformity of successful completion of the intensive training course, had collected scientific and methodological information on the dissertation research.
Deputy Dean of the Faculty BSLPPP (from Germany).
